KELANTAN



Kelantan is located at the west peninsular Malaysia, sharing the border with Thailand. Kota Bahru is the capital of the state and it houses many local traditional treasures such as Handicraft Village and Craft Musuem and Museum Islamic (Muzium Islamic/Dewan Syurga). It has colorful traditions and culture and one of the way to see ones culture is through their food and culinary. While you are in Kelantan let’s find out the hot spot for us to shopping. 

1) Pasar Siti Khadijah


LOCATION
Siti Khadijah is located at Jalan Hulu, and is well known among taxi drivers. It generally takes about 30mins from the Kota Bahru airport.

OVERVIEW
Siti Khadijah Market (Pasar besar Siti Khadijah), as its name implies, is a local wet market. Its name after Prophet Muhammad's wife, whom is known for her entrepreneurial skill, as this market is mostly run by women. Apart from the usual fresh goodies like seafood, vegetables and wide variety of fruits, you can also find ready-to eat food like 'ayam percik', nasi ulam and a variety of noodle soups, all unique in flavors and taste of Kelantan, serves freshly for you. Not to forget to taste the local desserts like 'kuih muih' (cake sort of), tempeh and a glass of hot milk tea, which is the staple drink for Kelantanese.

GETTING HERE
Taxi is the easiest mode of transport in Kelantan as the public transport is not as efficient, and of course, also to escape the heat in the afternoon. The cost about RM40. It's walking distance from New Pacific Hotel, otherwise you can get a taxi from any of your hotel.

2) KB Mall


LOCATION
KB Mall location is very strategic position on the main route to the city of Kota Bharu and Tune Hotel adjacent to the shopping complex make this the focal point of local visitors as well as visitors from outside.

KB Mall was opened in 2005 and it has a 98% occupancy rate with 180 retail outlets selling a wide variety of merchandise. The KB Mall in Kelantan is one good place for you to spend some quality weekend time with your family or your love ones. It is also a convenient mall for you to purchase items that you might need for your daily uses or even products that you like to own in enhancing your daily lifestyle.

The main foyer at KB Mall is an area frequently used for various kinds of activities such as exhibitions, theatre and more. Among the activities that can be done at KB Mall is at Pacific Bowl bowling alley, located on level one. GETTING HERE
From Hotel Renaissance you must take head north toward Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra. Merge onto Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra and continue straight to stay on Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra. Continue onto Jalan Hamzah and then continue onto exit Jalan Sultanah Zainab Then turn right to Jalan Sultanah Zainab and then take 1st right onto Jalan Hamzah. The shopping mall will be on your left side. Enjoy your sightseeing.


3) Zon Bebas Cukai Rantau Panjang




LOCATION
Rantau Panjang is a town in Kelantan, Malaysia. It is the major border crossing between Malaysia and Thailand for the East Coast of Malaysia. The town on the Thai side across the Golok River which forms the boundary between the two countries is Sungai Golok.

OVERVIEW
Opened as early as 8 am to 6 pm. During the school holidays, the town of Rantau Panjang is the busiest and most crowded in Manitoba. Peak hours are between the hours of 11 noon to 4 pm. This is the most popular markets and most suitable if you want to buy cheap goods from neighbouring Thailand. At here you can found the Various types of jerseys from local and overseas clubs, dishes of various brands and types that are imported from abroad, pots and pans. After shopping the electronic goods and clothes you can rest while eat and drink the delicious food at the stalls along the market.

LOCATION
From Pasir Mas, you take head southeast, turn left, then take the 1st right toward Route 3. Continue straight onto Route 3 and at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on Route 3. After that turn right. You will see the signboard.
