TERENGGANU




Terengganu holds the charms and splendour from others state in Malaysia. Despite rapid development and modernisation, it is as if time has stood still as the state retains all the rustic and idyllic charms so different from other tourist destination. Terengganu is truly a lessed state. It is in the early 1970’s that tourists start arriving. Unspoilt beaches, the wonders of watching giant leather back turtles, the crystal clear azure waters, the splendours of marine lives and the untouched tropical rainforests are totally and experience to cherish. Even the uniqueness of its traditional foods are distinctively sought after and remains a part of Terengganu’s identity. Such as the ‘keropok lekor’ and ‘nasi dagang’ which truly shows originality and so famous that it is regarded as the trademark of Terengganu. While you are in Terengganu let’s find out the hot spot for us to shopping.

1) Mesra Mall


LOCATION
The Mesra Mall was the place that the tourist will not miss if there come to Terengganu. It located at Jalan Kemaman-Dungun, Kemasik.

OVERVIEW
It was officially opened on the 10th 0f October in 2009 on a site of 30 acres in size. Each floor has a 315, 000 square feet over one level. This mall has being one of the malls with a modernized theme, the Mesra Mall focuses heavily on providing the customers an experience of healthy lifestyle while they enjoy their shopping in the mall. This is indeed a one-stop center for shopping, entertainment, leisure, dining and also banking. By this, stepping into the mall will allow you to notice the numbers of sporting facilities they provide to you. It have a 24-lane bowling alley, the futsal center, and squash. There are also a food court in the mall in which you can indulge in the local cuisines after a good day of sporting.

HOW TO GET THERE
If you are from Bandar Chukai, you can take the road leading towards Kuala Terengganu and drive about 20km and you will arrive at Awana Resort and SPA. Continue for another 6km, you will not miss Mesra Mall, with a Petronas station just beside it. It takes about 20 minutes by car.
If you are from PAKA, Mesra Mall is 20km away. Proceed southwards towards Kuantan, first drive past the "City of Lights" that is the Petronas petroleum complex that lights up a night like Vegas. You will soon arrive at Kerteh and will not miss Mesra Mall on the right hand side of the road. It takes about 20 minutes by car.

2) Kemaman Centre Point



LOCATION
Kemaman Centre Point complex is a shopping mall in the city of Duty, Kemaman, Terengganu. It is located just next to deal with Shopping Complex Casa Limbong in Mukim Chukai, in the district.

OVERVIEW
The Central Point Kemaman is one of the best malls in Terengganu if you intend to get some shopping done and to enjoy a localized atmosphere in the same time. This is a mall which aims to provide you with as much as it can. It is also a good place to spend with your family especially when you want to feel the localized mood in the town you are living in. There are also some events organized in the mall.

Centre Point is a complex multi-storey buildings have included various types of retail outlets, including The Store Kemaman branch located at the bottom of the complex. In addition to the Store, there are many rows of shops selling clothes, scarves, shawls, cosmetics shops, jewellery stores, cyber cafes, phone shops, grocery stores, shoe stores and other shops. Part of groceries such as food, beverages, fresh fruit, plastic goods and items of daily use like soap, etc. are also available at The Store Kemaman.

Complex Centre Point also provides public facilities such as public toilets are paid, escalators and stairs for easy movement of visitors descend and ascend to the top levels of the complex. It is also located close to Prayer Mr. Hj Abd Rahman Limbong, to enable visitors who want to pray before the shopping .. Mosque is named after a famous figure Terengganu scholars, namely Tuan Guru Haji Abdul Rahman dock

HOW TO GET THERE
From the Kemasik Beach, you head south on Route 3. Turn left toward Jalan Rasa, take the second left onto Jalan Rasa, turn left onto Jalan Abd Rahman and take the first right onto Jalan Dan Omar. The Kemaman Centre point will be on your left side. 


3) Astaka Shopping Centre



LOCATION
Astaka Shopping Centre was located at Kompleks Taman Selera Tanjung, Kuala Terengganu. It was near to Hotel Alamanda and Hotel YT Mildtown.

OVERVIEW
Astaka Shopping Centre is definitely a good place to spend with your family, especially when you are looking for a good mall which can provide you with a peace of mind with less hectic disturbances. The Astaka Shopping Centre is also heavily localized, in which by stepping into the mall, you will definitely be able to see localized elements which will instantly make you feel like home.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Kuala Terengganu, you may take head west on Jalan Sultan Ismail and turn right onto Jalan Tok Lam. After that, you turn right onto Jalan Kampung Dalam and then turn right onto Jalan Petani. The shopping complex will be on your left side.

4) Pasar Besar Kedai Payang




LOCATION

Pasar Besar Kedai Payang is located by the Terengganu River and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Kuala Terengganu.

OVERVIEW
The market in a building offers a variety of traditional handicrafts such as batik, silk, songket, brocade and metal products as well as fresh vegetables. Actually atmosphere at the Pasar Besar Kedai Payang during Ramadan is more great than the previous month. On Ramadhan, the traders took the opportunity to sell food for iftar (BUKA PUASA) preparations including palm fruit and cakes for Hari Raya celebrations. In a large door in to Pasar Besar Kedai Payang seem there is a row of tents selling cakes. Visitors who travel to this market will have more fun buying local products at cheap prices. It is also a perfect place to experience the culture as locals do their shopping here. It also popular with the latest design silk blouse. You will get the affordable and worth the price after bargaining process. You will satisfied with the silk from the state as well as a reasonable price, it was well worth it because the quality and more durable.

HOW TO GET THERE
From the Qaisara Batik And Songket, you just move straight forward through the Jalan Kampung Cina. It will be on you right side.
